How do you serve at St. Aidan’s?
Weekly Intercessory Prayer, Welcome and New Comers Assimilation Teams and a member of the Pastoral Advisory Team.
My family includes 2 grown sons, their wonderful wives and my four beautiful, smart and talented granddaughters! All blessings in my life.
Where are you from?
I was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland attending school K-12.
School / work experience?
I graduated from University of Nebraska with a BS in Education and taught school for 5 years. In 1983, I joined the staff of Christ Church, Overland Park, KS to develop ministries of pastoral care which also included assimilation of new people into the parish. I remained in that position until I retired in 2006. After that, I became involved in ministry with Fr. D.O. Smart as he traveled as a Dean for the Anglican Church in North America. We met many wonderful people in churches throughout the Midwest offering support and prayer. In 2012, we met Liz and Michael Flowers and joined their founding church planting team and the rest is history!
Fun, hobbies, interests?
I’ve been blessed to watch God bring amazing people together who are committed followers of Jesus Christ along with those who are seeking a community and to grow in faith. I am passionate in devoted ministry together as we respond to the joys and sorrows of others with Jesus' kind of love. And I love visitors and newcomers!
Colorado calls to me often - it is my favorite place to see God's wonders. I have many years and memories of times spent there. I love daily walks, crocheting prayer shawls, knitting fun scarves most of all, being with friends and family.
