Welcome. As you explore our website, we hope you’ll be drawn to visit and experience our community in worship and mission. St. Aidan's began in our home the summer of 2012.
We are multi-generational and multi-ethnic, with varied church and no-church experience. Some are students, teachers, artists, musicians, lawyers, janitors, doctors, contractors, firemen, nurses, scientists, writers, self-employed and entrepreneurs; rather than age, class or race, our common bond is Jesus Christ. For, in Christ, all of us are one body.
There are no resident spiritual giants, just people in process who share the struggles of following Jesus within a broken world. We're participating in a gracious God who mends and sends us out to live more fully alive in Jesus, responsive to the daily needs around us.
Before coming to St. Aidan’s, most of us were not Anglicans. We all found ourselves seeking deeper historical roots in ancient Christian faith. We believe our post-modern+ world unconsciously craves such roots, embodied in the person of Jesus and his Church.
Dress up or down and worship the Lord with us. We gather Monday through Friday, 7 to 7:30 a.m., for Morning Prayer w/ Eucharist at our Prayer & Ministry Center at 3908b Bell St. and Sunday Eucharist at 10:30 a. m. at Gordon Parks School, 3715 Wyoming St. We look forward to meeting you!
On behalf of St. Aidan's,
Michael Flowers +
Rector (Lead Pastor)
