Missions

As a community committed to worshiping and serving Christ in our city and the world, we seek to partner with ministries and organizations of corporal works of mercy, tangible gospel expressions.

Anglican Frontier Missions

We provide monthly financial support for a couple on a church planting team in the Middle East. For their safety, we do not publish their names or the country in which they minister. They have been sent by our diocese to partner with Anglican Frontier Missions.

AFM is a missionary society that sends missionaries to plant indigenous churches among the largest and least evangelized peoples in the world. Although 67 generations of Christians have lived and died since Jesus' resurrection, more than 7,000 ethno-linguistic people groups comprising 3 billion people are still unreached with the gospel. This Unseen 1/3rd of the world has little-to-no geographic and/or cultural access to the gospel. AFM works alongside churches, mobilizing them to send short- and long-term missionaries to do pioneer, frontier missions in areas where a viable and visible church still does not exist.

Connect Africa

We provide monthly financial support to Connect Africa, a Ugandan, faith-based organization whose purpose is to build relational bridges between tribal groups, countries, and the world and to provide local residents with appropriate technology and training to create sustainable communities.
Connect Africa’s founders, Trevor and Jana Tychon, first arrived in Uganda in 2001 with the simple desire to positively impact the country. Upon arrival, Trevor and Jana partnered with Ugandan pastors and leaders who also yearned to see their country transformed. As they learned how to do things “the African way,” Trevor and Jana built a team of foreigners and Ugandans to reach out to the northern regions. The Connect Africa team began developing inexpensive and sustainable technologies that could be built by the very people who needed them most. Trevor and Jana, have been long-time friends of St. Aidan’s.

St. Aidan’s also partners with Connect Africa, USA, a new training base underway in Alabama.

Care Portal

We participate with Care Portal, an online platform that brings the needs of hurting children and families in our community to our attention. Caseworkers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes us aware, giving us a real-time opportunity to respond. The beautiful thing about CarePortal is the personal touch and contact each congregation can provide. It’s a vital tool for opening doors of care for those in need right in our neighborhoods.
