We invite all mothers and women who are interested in the spiritual formation of our children to join us once a month during the school year to discuss the writings of Charlotte Mason. Ms Mason was a brilliant Anglican educator who developed a comprehensive philosophy of education that is rooted in a Christian understanding of a child's dignity as made in the image of God. She offers a particularly robust philosophy of early childhood formation that gives parents a deep sense of purpose in the years before a child begins formal schooling. We will be going through selected readings from her volumes focusing on the nature of children, the role of the parents, the spiritual life of children, and the importance of cultivating good habits. Please join us as we seek to grow in wisdom together!
When: 2nd Saturday of the month at 10am.
Where: Ravyn Long's house
Books: Parents & Children by Charlotte Mason. This is public domain: https://amblesideonline.org/CM/toc.html, but can also be purchased.
RSVP to Lindsay Powers, lindsayelise@gmail.com

House Communities meet throughout the KC metroplex. We have gatherings in strategic regions of our city, from north of the river to south of our main campus.
In House Communities, relationships are formed, prayer is offered and received, the Scriptures are read and discussed, and God is worshiped.
These gatherings are our basic relational building blocks.
Before attending a House Community, we ask newcomers to attend Sunday Eucharist a bit, check out daily Morning Prayer, and meet with clergy and staff to assess the next best step towards exploring St. Aidan’s. -
You are invited to be a part of St. Aidan’s chapter of Anglicans for Life on the third Thursday of every month 6-7 pm at Deacon Eric's house (please contact him for address, contact below).
If you’re interested in participating in a Christ-centered effort to protect the least of these, please come and take part. We’ll introduce the chapter, pray together, outline some initial projects, and discuss ways to serve the most vulnerable of God's children- the unborn.
Questions should go to:
Charles Sperry, (816) 612-1341
Dcn. Eric Rainwater, (479) 221-4130
Please come and show your heart for this vital ministry. -
